Meet the Founder

Pierre Boueri is the founder and managing partner of Pierre Boueri & Partners and is a family business advisor for SMEs, mainly in the EMEA Region. He has educational and, most importantly, practical experience in Wealth Planning, Governance & Succession Planning, and Corporate Transformation. He also is a mentor and coach for many NextGen shareholders, and serves as a Director on multiple boards in the MEA region. 

He has more than 10 years of experience in the consultancy industry and overall around 25 years of experience in executive management and was the CEO of one of the leading companies in the water industry with more than 40 years of experience in the MEA region. He led its transformation and expansion from a family business to a corporate enterprise by recreating its corporate strategy and governance and finally implementing restructuring & turn-around with change management,  that rendered a positive culture with an ongoing concern for the group. Currently, he helps other similar family businesses grow to the next level into the corporate world, while planning and nurturing their wealth across generations. 

He holds a bachelor’s degree (B.E.) in mechanical engineering from the American University of Beirut (AUB) in Lebanon, a master’s degree (MSc.) in environmental engineering and project management (EEPM) from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom, an executive master’s in business administration (EMBA) from HEC Paris in France and Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Babson College in the United States. He holds a Professional Postgraduate Diploma (PPgD) in Private Wealth Advice from STEP “Advising Families across Generations” in the UK. Finally, he is currently undergoing his doctorate in business administration (DBA) from the Business School of Lausanne (BSL) in Switzerland and is expected to complete it in 2025; the doctoral research being related to this core field of expertise: “Corporate Governance in Family Businesses SMEs in the MEA region.”

Moreover, he is a member of the Certified Management Consultants– International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI), an international institute that is a leader in the development of management consulting as a global profession, and is a Certified Management Consultant-CMC, a qualification process that assesses candidates to meet standards in various areas, including knowledge, skills, competence, integrity; therefore, separating professional practitioners from part-time consultants. 

He is also a full member at STEP “Advising Families across Generations” in the UK, a global professional body comprising advisors that help families plan for their futures and a member of FFI (Family Firm Institute) for family businesses . Finally, he is a Consultant Member, Excellence Practitioner, and Certified Excellence Baseline Auditor at the Business Excellence Institute (BEX) in Dublin, Ireland, a membership body that works to help organizations get outstanding results for all their stakeholders and promotes excellence in management and the Business Excellence profession.
